You are looking at a 1999 Sportster XL1200S with a few modifications. It has a 2 into 2 competition exhaust system from SuperTrapp (2 Race Syst H-D XLH883-1200 86-99 SS, $723). The exhaust discs have been adjusted for optimal torque and they sound great.

The carb has also been done (generic parts but thanks to pro adjustment it works just great). This bike runs very strong, yet there is a smooth feel to its power. Not so many are the bikes you don’t get a headstart on at the light with this machine. However, I kept to the stock pipes and you are free to have them.

It has a good looking and very comfortable HD touring seat that makes a world of difference for the rider and passenger on longer rides. I have kept the stock seat and you are free to have it. The bike has highway pegs, an electronic oil thermometer, a luggage rack and I can give you as-is a touring bag system from HD (one small and one large nylon bags – originally black but one has turned dark grey over time). I also provide you with a scratched HD windshield (as-is, of course.) If you come pick it up, I have a bunch of small but useful accessories.

The Boston Harley dealer's mechanic told me that the tires are OK, but that they will need to replaced in the months to come. This is a very clean bike that I have taken care of with love. It has the normal signs of usage but it has never been in an accident. It comes with the shop manual. THIS MOTORCYCLE HAS A HARLEY DAVIDSON EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN CONTRACT RUNNING UNTIL 12-27-2005.
